We have a thing for vibrant colours here at MintSix. And with it being the party season and all, we've been browsing Pinterest more than usual looking for a bit of inspiration. Needless to say every lip colour, accessory and dress we have pinned has screamed colour.

The gorgeous colours in our silks reflects our most coveted summer styles, so we have thrown a few of our faves into today's post.

Just a small antler obsession...

 MintSix antlers at my place!

Antlers are continuing to feature in stylish homes around the globe. Commonly found in rustic lodges and also at home within the Scandinavian aesthetic,  antlers have more recently popped up in a variety of interior spaces. Coupled with earthy tones or a more eclectic, vibrant interior, antlers can really add a unique talking point in your home.
MintSix Antlers and striped wallpaper. Great combo :)
If the entire head is too much for your taste, try styling your space with just the antlers, by  grouping them on a shelf or on your mantelpiece. Mount them on the wall or decorate your table as part of a vignette as a centrepiece. Another option for that disused fireplace is to stack a few of them in a casual heap!

Great for an empty fireplace

Adore this. Next project for me is to hang an antler from the roof.
Plenty of fake alternatives around if the real thing isn't for you. Pictures from Urban Outfitters,  Faux Taxidermy & via Pinterest

Macrame is back.

We are very excited to be stocking these beautiful macrame hangers made by the very talented Cleo.

"Cleopatra Jones - Modern Macrame"

Not the easiest of things to photograph but I hope you can see some of the detail in the different knotting combinations... Amazing.

Macrame was very popular back in the 70's and 80's and like many interior trends it has come back around again and personally, I'm loving it. Hang them in your porch, kitchen, hallway or even in the bedroom (I have one in my daughters bedroom and it looks awesome)

Colours in stock at MintSix: Large Neon pink, Medium Aqua & Medium Heather Grey

These can also be made to order to your own specific dimensions using the colours below. Just contact us at mintsixhome@gmail.com

Obsessed with this one, so amazing!
Love these colours, you can't go wrong with yellow and neon pink!

An Alternative Christmas Tree?

Family photographs arranged into the shape of a tree. Great for little ones to see family that may not be with them on Christmas.

I am late to organise our tree this year so thought I'd best get onto it. I went looking online for some inspiration and came across lots of unique ideas.

I do love a good old fashioned tree but whilst searching found quite a few not so traditional options that may be worth a try this year.
Wooden pallet tree. The white Moroccan pouffe
also looks great underneath it!

Very rustic and also loving the juju hat on the exposed brick
A chalkboard Scandinavian Tree
Felt ball garland tree
Framed pictures and letters into a tree shape
Love this very simple wooden version
Had to include the antlers, not quite a tree but have an obsession with them that I can't control!
Branches with simple pale decorations
Wooden tree. This has many possibilities

What do you think? Would you use an alternative at home?
I've decided that I'm going to try and make something similar to the tree made out of pallets (complete with a MintSix Moroccan pouffe underneath it of course) :)

Wish me luck!

Moroccan Pouffe Styling

I love the monochromatic scheme
going on in this house.The
pouffe adds texture and creates
more of a layered look for
visual interest.

Pouffes have been on my radar for quite some time now. I've had mine for a few years and it's still going strong in my living room. My girls use it as a seat, we use it as a sidetable and also as somewhere to rest our weary feet!

Simply put,I love them. So much so, that they were one of the first orders we made for MintSix.

Pouffes have been showing up in interiors magazines for a long time now and continue to do so. People have been using them in their homes for decades and the only thing that seems to have changed is that the brightly coloured pouffes are being used more readily to easily add pops of colour to a home.

An apple green pouffe has been used in this elegant bedroom to tie in with other green accents such as the cushions, bottles and throws.

Pouffes are a great way to add
a pop of colour to any bedroom.

Any colour could be used in the living area
of your home. If you are after a pared back

classic look then go with a white, black or
gold.

Or, if you are wanting some added colour choose a
bold coloured pouffe to make a statement.
