Moroccan Pouffe Styling

I love the monochromatic scheme
going on in this house.The
pouffe adds texture and creates
more of a layered look for
visual interest.

Pouffes have been on my radar for quite some time now. I've had mine for a few years and it's still going strong in my living room. My girls use it as a seat, we use it as a sidetable and also as somewhere to rest our weary feet!

Simply put,I love them. So much so, that they were one of the first orders we made for MintSix.

Pouffes have been showing up in interiors magazines for a long time now and continue to do so. People have been using them in their homes for decades and the only thing that seems to have changed is that the brightly coloured pouffes are being used more readily to easily add pops of colour to a home.

An apple green pouffe has been used in this elegant bedroom to tie in with other green accents such as the cushions, bottles and throws.

Pouffes are a great way to add
a pop of colour to any bedroom.

Any colour could be used in the living area
of your home. If you are after a pared back

classic look then go with a white, black or
gold.

Or, if you are wanting some added colour choose a
bold coloured pouffe to make a statement.

Wedding threads for little ones

My sister is getting married in a couple of months and I'm in charge of dressing the little people for her big day. So many ace clothing labels out there for kids and I've had a field day looking both in Melbourne and on the web for ideas.

All I know at this stage is that they most definitely will be wearing some crazy headpiece type thing and there most definitely will be tulle...

Here are a few images that i love

We are back.

Here we go again...

It's been a year now since my sister Ella and I started our first blog (In My Cabinet) and initially we were all guns blazing for a good couple of months... then of course life got in the way a bit (as it so often does) and we both embarked on some major upheavals in our personal lives.

Ella and her family moved home to New Zealand from three years in Beijing and had their fourth baby, Harriet, soon afterwards. (She is flipping cute btw and I'm sure we will sneak a piccie of her onto the blog fairly soon!) My little family and I also moved to NZ after seven years in Melbourne.

Having productive meetings face to face rather than via Skype has been amazing and has also enabled us to generate some new and fresh ideas for our business together, along with a new name and branding - MintSix.

Anyway, we're back at it and thought it only right that we start posting images of the goodies we have been ordering for our online store, along with some other interior or fashion finds that catch our eye.

We hope you will enjoying reading all over again, or if you are a new reader, welcome :)
